Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) is established in 1998 in the picturesque and pleasant environs of Madanapalle also known as "The Ooty of Andhra". Madanapalle is a place of historical significance and is situated at a distance of 15 km from Horsley Hills, the official summer head quarters of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
